Resolved Question: Planning California Trip. Ideas, Info, Experience?

Am in the planning stages of an absolutely awesome trip to Ca. At this point I'm interested in all of the following locations for the trip-its just a matter of just how much time I'll end up actually having to be able to "fit it all in". Just planning right now, won't come together until at least some time next year, so I've got the time to "plan it right" ! Would like to visit: -Catalina Island -Carlsbad Flower Fields -Oceanside Pier (personal reasons!) and -Joshua Tree National Park 1) Any personal experiences at any of these locations anyone might be able to pass on? You know-"take the ferry to Catalina, not the plane because ...." kind of experiences, I really want this trip to be AWESOME ! 2) What is the BEST, "All inclusive" California travel website that I might be able to go to-to help get all this together?
